Circus Ring of Fame at St. Armands Circle

One of the most fascinating things about the history of Sarasota is our connection to the circus. Since John Ringling wintered here and his home is one of the artistic treasures in our town, there are many related events and sites to see. One of these is the “Circus Ring of Fame”  St. Armands Circle on Lido Key.

The “Circus Ring of Fame” annually recognizes those persons who have made a significant contribution to the circus. This year will mark the 28th anniversary of this time honored tradition. Members to be inducted in 2015 will be circus notables who have been elected to the prestigious Circus Ring of Fame. The new members are scheduled for induction January 11th. The inductees will also make a public appearance a day earlier at the Sailor Circus arena where they will participate in a free-wheeling panel discussion trying to unravel the puzzle as to how one best entertains the public.  Up to date information and schedules for the Ring of Fame activities will be included on the Rings web site.
