Celery Fields Family Festival

Celery FieldsSarasota County Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources, in conjunction with the Sarasota Audubon Society, will host a Family Festival at the Celery Fields, 6799 Palmer Blvd., from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 1st. The festival will kick off the public bird watching program offered each Saturday by the Sarasota Audubon Society and highlight the recently opened new amenities at the Celery Fields.

Scheduled activities begin at 9 a.m., with a guided bird walk at 9:15, tai chi at 10 a.m., meditation at 10:45 a.m. and an interpretive nature walk at 11:15 a.m. Ongoing activities for children will include book readings; crafts, including a monocular and origami pigeon to the first 100 children ages 4-12; Audubon docents on the boardwalk to help identify birds and plants; and a fall-themed photo opportunity. Refreshments will be served.
The Celery Fields Family Festival is also presented by Sarasota County Library Services, Sarasota Audubon Society, University Tai Chi and Sarasota Mindfulness Institute.
