Beaches, golf, and condos aside, there’s one thing Florida is REALLY famous for – a friendly little mouse named Mickey.

Located just two short hours from the Sarasota/Bradenton metro area, Disney World has been Florida’s premiere recreational attraction for over 40 years.  It transformed a sleepy little town called Orlando to a sprawling urban center and creates billions of dollars each year in revenue, all the while spreading goodwill and cheer to kids of all ages from every country in the world.

Disney World covers over 30,000 acres and includes four major theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Epcot Center, MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom), two water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon), and 23 Disney-owned hotels.

Getting to Disney World from Sarasota is easy – it’s just 45 minutes north to I-4 East then straight on ’til morning!
